Appear seeks Sr Software Developer/Architect
Appear Networks is looking for a Senior Software Developer/Architect based in Kista, Sweden. You will be designing and developing advanced mobile enterprise applications and the server systems to support these applications.
You will be involved in both client-side (i.e. on the mobile device) and server-side development using tools such as Java/Scala, Android, NoSQL databases and HTML5/JavaScript.
Your Key Responsibilities
You will be an active member of an agile development team of 6 to 10 developers focusing on the design, implementation and deployment of new features and enhancements of mobile applications systems. You will work with the Product Owner to realize product requirements efficiently while maintaining high quality. You are expected to contribute to product innovation and will be encouraged to influence the development tools, the application design and the development process in use.
Your Key Qualifications
- 3-7 years’ of experience in software development role
- Strong grasp of Java or Scala development
- Understanding of mobile platforms, in particular Android; iOS and Windows Mobile is a plus
- Understanding of networking technologies and cloud deployment
- Understanding of persistence and messaging techniques (NoSQL, RDBMS, XML, JMS, etc.)
- Being a software generalist, i.e. having knowledge of a wide range of computer languages and development platforms is a plus
- Experience as a team leader is a plus
- Experience working with agile development methodologies (Scrum and/or Kanban)
- Experience with web development (HTML/JavaScript) is a plus
- User interaction design skills is a plus
- Good communication skills in English are required
- Degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science or related field
